Valley Center Municipal Water District serves mostly agriculture in the beautiful town of Valley Center, which is located northeast of Escondido in North San Diego County. Approximately 24,000 people live within the District. The District covers 100 square miles of which approximately 59% receives water services. The District provides a highly desirable, comprehensive employee benefits package. Post-offer physical, drug screening, background investigation and acceptable proof of right to work is required. This is an entry-level position. Incumbent is responsible for performing routine tasks related to
accounting activities to include: processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
information, serving as a back-up to the payroll process, and assisting with Consumer Services
functions.

Incumbents in classification “I” are responsible for performing routine activities related to fleet maintenance to include: servicing vehicles, performing tire changes, performing safety inspections, and assisting higher level staff. Incumbents in classification “II” Incumbents are fully competent and are expected to perform journey level duties related to maintaining and repairing the District’s fleet to include: troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining and overhauling a wide variety of trucks and heavy equipment and their related components and systems. Incumbents in classification “III” are fully competent and are expected to perform the full range and the most complex duties related to maintaining the District’s fleet, are lead workers and may serve as a crew leader.This is an entry-level position.
