Information on obtaining Addendums, Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents:

The Project generally consists of the cleaning, remedial repair, interior coating, and exterior painting of a 60-foot diameter by 48-foot tall (base to roof) 1.0 million gallon above ground welded steel potable water reservoir and above ground piping including, but not limited to the following work components.  The contractor shall remove and dispose of the interior ladder and associated brackets, tabs, and all other components prior to coating.  Contractor shall remove existing center vent and screen prior to interior work and replace vent when complete.  Screen to be replaced by District after completion of all painting and coating.  Contractor shall remove and replace all existing earthquake straps and associated nuts/bolts prior to interior coating.  Contactor shall remove and replace all existing rafter tail nuts/bolts along reservoir shell prior to coating.  Contractor shall remove existing weld splatter prior to coating or painting.  Existing conduits, radios, antennas, and other miscellaneous electrical and radio components will remain in place during Contractor’s work.  All electrical and radio components to be painted or protected as directed by District.

All work shall be completed within NINETY (90) calendar days of the date of the Notice to Proceed.

Bidders may obtain copies of the Contract Documents from the District Engineering Department at: 29300 Valley Center Road, Valley Center, CA 92082, telephone number (760)-735-4500 (Contact: Dennis Williams). Electronic copies are available at no cost. Physical copies are available for the sum of twenty-five dollars ($25). A non-refundable charge of twenty dollars ($20) will be required of any bidder who requests that the Contract Documents be mailed within California (costs for out-of-state mailings will be higher).  The District will also make the Contract Documents available for review at one or more plan rooms. Digital copies of the Contract Documents shall be made available only through Valley Center Municipal Water District offices at no cost.

The Bidder is solely responsible for obtaining all project bid documents – no time extensions or other considerations will be given for non-receipt or acquisition of bidding documents. The District will also make the Contract Documents available for review at one or more plan rooms.
