Approximately 24,000 people live within the District. The District covers 100 square miles of which approximately 59% receives water services. This is an exempt, single incumbent, professional level class responsible for managing engineering department staff and a variety of complex capital improvement projects to include: oversight of staff and consultants involved in planning, research and analysis, funding, design, inspection, project management and construction management activities related to water, sewer, and water reclamation projects; oversight of subordinates, consultants, and contractors performing these functions. As a Senior Engineer, incumbent performs long-range water resource planning and serves as the District Engineer in his/her absence.

The District is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Meter Services Technician I.
Incumbents are responsible for performing routine activities while acquiring knowledge, certifications, and skills to perform higher-level work to include: preparation of purchase requisitions to include part numbers and prices; assists with research on vendors and costs, product availability, and delivery and receiving of needed inventory. Converts purchase requisitions into purchase orders and enters into computer system. Prepares, coordinates, and conducts the annual physical inventory to completion.
Performs light facility maintenance tasks; responds to requests for maintenance or repairs; assesses facility maintenance issues for complexity and priority; arranges contractors when necessary. Maintains the warehouse and yard to include general clean-up, organization, prevention of safety hazards; properly stores inventory parts into proper locations.
Reading meters, installing meters, performing rereads, providing customer service and assisting higher level staff. Incumbents may work a varied workweek, different shifts, assist in standing duty, respond to emergencies as necessary, and may be required to work in wastewater facilities to include collection, distribution and reclamation.
